Eden said...

Fan.

Anonymous said...

I remember seeing pictures of the somno wrestlers walking around London lol

Anonymous said...

Me too!
It kept popping up on my feed of all the sumo wrestlers reacting to a lot of the touristy spots in London.

I hope she had fun!

I didn't know there was a sumo wrestling thing in England.

The Albert Hall is the only place outside of Japan to host a major sumo tournament, this is only the second time it's happened.

OK Emma Watson at a sumo wrestling event in London was not on my bingo card this week.

The 'Dicewoman' strikes.

PS Admittedly I don't know the sumo event dress code but she seems remarkably well dressed given the lack of clothing on the wrestlers.

Broooo she is so unpredictable, I wouldn't even surprise anymore if she turned out to be the master mind of the Louvre's heist😭😂

The dress and the make-up remind me of 2015

Ok, but has the Lourve checked in the British Museum though?

I saw the photo on ig first, and I was like, huh, a decade-old photo from a whole new angle. It literally shocked me to know it was taken very recent.

Anonymous said...

She looks exactly the same as 10 years ago.

Anonymous said...

so random

Anonymous said...

No, that’s not true. Emma is starting to get older. In fact, in some photos from the Miu Miu fashion show, I noticed that the lines on her forehead and around her eyes are becoming very pronounced very quickly. It was like it happened suddenly because at the beginning of last year, they weren't so noticeable.
She clearly still looks gorgeous, but let's not kid ourselves that she looks the same as she did when she was 25.

Anonymous said...

I said she look like 25 in this blurry photo, not anything else, I knew she has wrinkles and is aging.

That One Guy said...

Nah, Emma's definitely aged, if very gracefully. I love her deep smile lines. She looks like a 35-year-old woman. Which only makes her lovelier.

Though, Emma. punkin, the big shouty pushy men are pushing each other down on the floor. If you don't look down, you're gonna miss all the sumo.

Emma's father was in France today to attend a conference about wine, someone met him and shared it on Weibo.

Anonymous said...

Check it again, not a conference, it's a dinner party.

Eden remember years ago someone asked you to make a private blog where pottershots members could go and join did you ever make it

Eden said...

I made it but no one was using it.

Anonymous said...

Would you do it again

Any thoughts?

Eden said...

It didn't work the first time, I doubt it'll work a second time.

That One Guy said...

Yo people gotta stop begging Eden to start various Harry Potter related websites nobody will use. Those movies are old enough to have kids by now. The actors have all 1000% moved on.

The Arabella Stanton interview is a nothingburger. Kid's 8 years old. She has nothing to say about anything in the whole wide world and is just hoping to hit her marks and that the show gets renewed.

I just feel bad for a POC playing Hermione. The internet's gonna make that suck. FWIW, I hope the show fails. No more money for Joy Killer Robot please.

Anonymous said...

Yaaaaaawn

Anonymous said...

I think she is going to be way better than Emma at playing Hermione.

Anonymous said...

Why is she out of work?

Anonymous said...

Isn’t she currently 11 or 12? Anyway as much as I want that fuckass show cancelled. I can’t help to feel bad for the little ones… not their parents or the adult cast because they can fuck off. But seeing as Terfling reacts to the OG “child” cast not agreeing with her terfdom… I can’t help but imagine how bad she’ll be towards those kids if they ever publicly disagree with her.

Do you all think emma Watson starring in hp was a mistake?

Anonymous said...

The new Harry Potter series is reportedly going to run for about 7 years. Thats how they’re going to go through each book. I think the show itself is stupid, unnecessary and nothing but a cash grab. Like people have said, everyone, even the actors, have moved on from Harry Potter because it ended. What they’re doing to Harry Potter is similar to what Disney has done to Star Wars. Make multiple mini tv series. I personally don’t see the new HP series lasting long at all. It’s going to be cancelled/scrapped after the first year, watch.

Arabella is just a kid. Whatever is being said about Emma, let’s be real, in Harry Potter, Emma is iconic. It’s going to be very hard for Arabella. Emma’s lines are so ingrained in people’s minds that many have tried to mimic them. I don’t know how she’s going to make them feel unique. Arabella is now stuck between copying her and finding her own version, which isn’t easy. Even in her recent interview, she said, “I do like school, but I don’t love school.” Emma said, “I like school, but I’m not obsessed with school.” She can’t even repeat Emma’s answers in interviews. But again, she’s just a kid. People need to protect her.

That One Guy said...

Yeah, Arabella Stanton is 11. Not sure where I saw 8. I agree, I think those kids need to be protected. But I doubt the new people running WB and churning out Potter content like Disney with Star Wars (like another Anon said) are going to be nearly as protective of the new crop of kids as David Heyman et al where with the original child actors.

I have nothing against the new kiddos. I hope they have good careers. I wouldn't be surprised if Arabella is very good, though I doubt she'll have Emma's "Pretty Much Just Exactly Hermione" energy.

I just want the show to fail, since we already have a perfectly great way to watch Harry Potter, and it's not a deep enough story to need a new interpretation. And again, no more money for JKR.

Anonymous said...

No I don’t, but I think it’s a different life than Emma would’ve had if she’d become famous at a later age. I know that’s very obvious to say, but I think she’s had a lot of struggles following being a child actor, hasn’t trusted people easily, and perhaps would’ve ‘found herself’ and settled down with a family by now if she’d not have been in HP.

Anonymous said...

Have we figured out yet which person in the picture Emma is dating?

Anonymous said...

Hp was a mistake for the world not emma

Anonymous said...

Exactly, Arabella is trying to imitate Emma. She has said she really respects Emma and things like that, so I wouldn't be surprised if she's watched all of Emma's interviews, maybe she will turn out to be the best Hermione who knows? The Harry Potter craze is not like it was 20 years ago, sure there are still loyal fans, but it will be hard for the TV series adaptation to reach the popularity of the film series. JKR just wants to make more money and fuel her hate campaign. I will look down on these kids if they grow up afraid to ever speak out against her, they're nothing but puppets.

Austin is in NYC, wonder where Emma is

Anonymous said...

Emma wasn’t in Harry Potter, none of would’ve none she existed. This blog wouldn’t exist. Eden would exist

Anonymous said...

A remake is never as good as the original

Anonymous said...

How do you know Austin is in NYC? Felton is there too for his cursed child rehearsals

Anonymous said...

The point is not to copy Emma. A copy is never as good as the original. In the end, it just proves that a remake is pointless.

Anonymous said...

If Emma wasn’t in Harry Potter, most people wouldn’t know her, that’s true. But that doesn’t mean her talent or value wouldn’t exist, or that she might not be happier now if she hadn’t been in it. Harry Potter didn’t give her her talents, intelligence, character, or beauty. She was chosen because of who she already was and how she stood out among so many others. The role gave her a platform, but who she is was always there.

Anonymous said...

Aged or not, she's still beautiful

Anonymous said...

Regarding Emma as Hermione, I'll just say that the directors shifted the focus from the entire trio to her, especially pushing Ron into the background. It even got to the point where Ron's lines were given to Hermione

Anonymous said...

I watched Emma's latest interview and I'm amazed at how well she said everything. I don't understand the people who criticize her. From all sides, even though I'm on one side. Emma is great, she inspires me, and I hope she achieves her goals without any problems

Anonymous said...

I don't want to hear anything from hp now, it's not just about Emma, it's about the author of the series is behaving like Voldemort and I refuse to become one of her financial sponsors. I am an Asian, and I am really offended by the name of Chong Chang. I mean, seriously? All the Asian names in the world and she just had to pick the one similar to ching chong.

JKR okayed this new HP show for one reason and one reason only, imho - So they can relaunch the merchandising with different faces on all of it than DR, RG and, of course, Emma. Don't forget that everytime something with their likeness on it sells, they get a cut (ironically, it was Crowling that made sure their cut was healthy, in the first place) and that must really stick in JKR's obsessive craw. As far as she's concerned she's still giving money to the kids that "betrayed" her (or, to you and me, had a different, more tolerant opinion) - the whole show is about Rowling punishing the three young stars, nothing more, nothing less.

Anonymous said...

Because he put up a story of him walking along the Hudson

Anonymous said...

That was more Steve Kloves and also a combination of them wanting to make female characters more prominent and use Ron more as light relief

Anonymous said...

I have the feeling that Arabella could be a better actress but she won’t be as iconic as Emma.

Anonymous said...

Emma seems to be handling the Justin Trudeau/Katy Perry news quite well.

Being a better actress means finding your own identity, not copying someone else’s interpretation. Acting isn’t about saying the lines better, it’s about making them your own. She’s still a kid, so I don’t expect much unless she gets real guidance. So far, it feels like they’re just refilming the same scenes with new actors and adding a few extra moments from the books. With so many different versions, audiobooks, movies, and now a series, it’s hard to see how people will truly connect with the new cast.

or perhaps not..............

What pleased me most about the interview was Emma's emphasis on truth, even when it's harsh. This means her image isn't a manipulation attempt to be attractive and popular, but rather her true self as a kind, sincere, and caring woman. So, what we see of her isn't a lie, but the truth
