However, participating in these kind of events, to me, means staying in touch with the industry and looking for new opportunities or collaborations. What do you think, guys?

"Deeply uninterested in the industry" yet she is attending W Magazine and Dior’s Oscars dinner. I think we give two different meanings to the word "uninterested". If she were completely outside of the industry and uninterested she would not remain constantly in touch with that world. In fact, she has never said she wants to stay out of it and that she is still an actress. That’s it.
Ngl seeing how everytime that she’s at these events Derek isn’t too far away. I’m wondering if he invites her and she agrees because it’s a good way to do marketing. But it’s also an all around low stakes way to interact with other people in the the industry

When are we going to accept that’s she’s not attending these events to “connect” with people in the industry? For me she looks not particularly comfortable in this environments. That’s probably why she hasn’t been near a film set in eight years. It’s simply not her thing.

When are you going to accept that you are speculating like everyone else and could be entirely wrong. She said in the FT a couple of years ago that she was doing an acting gig. It didn’t happen for reasons unknown. She’s also said in several interviews she would act again in the right thing.
What is it that you aren’t getting??? That isn’t a deeply uninterested person. She’s not hellbent on a comeback in anything, but she’s clearly still interested in the film industry. Like very clearly.
She wouldn’t bother if she wasn’t interested though. She wouldn’t bother going to Venice or Cannes either. She going to film stuff not just fashion. It doesn’t mean there’s anything imminent but she obviously wants to still be involved.

Seeing both her and Mac healthy and happy is wonderful. That pic will get huge interest.
I think she gets an opportunity to bring someone and he’s an easy add and knows loads of people.
So in the last 12 months she’s been at Cannes, Venice and now pre-Oscar parties. Fingers crossed we get some news later this year. These things often take lots of time. Especially as the stuff she wants to do seems to be needles in haystacks.
She doesn't look that happy, and in the photos of her and her new bf, she looked ultimately happy and at ease.
I think the amount of time she has been away has started to take its toll in her. I mean, her last award season was in 2018, and she’s not even acting anymore to remain a “hot” name in the industry.
She seems really off at this event, that’s what I feel beyond the pictures. Maybe I’m speculating, but it’s really sad that at this point she’s doesn’t seem able to feel more secure.
At BAFTAs 2022 she looked so fierce and confident! But that’s not always the case.

That’s the way everyone smiles for a camera. It doesn’t mean she isn’t happy or relaxed.
I think you’re reading too much into things.
Nobody will have a smile from their eyes when asked to pose, especially famous people with a go-to or set pose.
That natural smile only tends to happen if it’s a natural picture, like the one from the side with Rob. There she isn’t smiling for a camera, she’s talking to him and doesn’t see it being taken. But that doesn’t mean she’s unhappy or uncomfortable the rest of the time.

Completely off topic… But am I the only one that noticed she has fallen victim to the Ozempic or GLP-1 craze that’s rampant right now? Don’t get me wrong she’s always been skinny and over 90% of celebrities who’ve done it were already skinny to begin with. Because I won’t lie…some of these celebrities (and everyday people) have me praying that their weight loss doesn’t end up causing irreversible damage to their bodies in a couple of years time.

She looks roughy the sane as she did in the pickleball show, and in the athletic shoot where she looked great and very healthy. If you think she looks darn it’s probably the makeup. There is nothing unhealthy about her.

Can I just say that I love how engaged Emma is when listening to someone speak of just having a conversation in general… Because I keep seeing comments like “ get you somebody who looks at you like Emma looks at fill in the blank”. How could they not know her? She is famous all over the world, even if she never does another project for the next 50 years. People still watch old movies again and again, and many do not have time to follow new releases.
Some people in my country may not know her, which is normal since many are not interested in Hollywood or foreign films, but you can still see her everywhere: in mall banners, HP products, Prada campaigns, bookshops, TV, and posters. Even though HP was never very popular here because of religion, many people still know her.

I don’t know if it’s only my impression but but her facial lines have become much more pronounced over the past two years.
I feel like when she turns 40, she’ll look a lot older than she actually is.

I think she actually finally just looks nearer her age. I think she’s aging like a fine wine and will look terrific well into her 40s and 50s similar to the likes of Rachel Weisz.

I wouldn't want Emma to see this and be upset, but the last commenter is right. She's only 35 (15 years before her body truly ages!), but you can already see wrinkles, squints, and smiles... it's very strange, considering she leads a healthy lifestyle. Either it's genetics, or extreme stress, or she's worn herself out with her fast-paced career.
In any case, I hope her health is safe, she doesn't abuse anything (especially medicine), and is happy with her life. After all, Professor Sinclair will soon create a rejuvenating pill that restores the epigenome, and we might see Emma in her prime, just like she was in The Perks of Being a Wallflower...

It might just be my own personal Twitter algorithm, but... every time there's a red carpet, people are always pointing out how much different everybody looks now. Because I keep seeing tweets saying that actresses like Emma Stone and Anne Hathaway look like they have yassified their faces and have Instagram face now... And a couple of days ago, everybody was talking about how buccal fat removal really makes people look uncanny (they were using Anya Taylor-Joy and Margot Robbie for examples). Not to mention what people were saying about Jennifer Lawrence's face last year... Now, I personally think that they're all beautiful women. And that if they want to get work done, as long as they don't lie about it, it's genuinely nobody's business but theirs...Besides, let's say Emma does get filler or Botox when she's in her 40s... At least she would be the intended demographic for them in the first place. Or let's say she doesn't and continues to age organically... Why would it be a bad thing to look like she's in her 40s if that's the age demographic she belongs to?

Also some parties themselves don’t have press or red carpets, the only way we know people at them is where they leak photos or the paps manage to grab them outside. Guys she’s only been to the Oscars once as a presenter. You don’t get to go and just rock up and watch. It’s incredibly limited seating versus the people that could go. It’s capped at 3,000 invites and you consider all nominees, crew or performers in a nominated movie, execs, sponsors, families etc there is pretty much nobody else other than those involved in the show ie presenting or performing. Presenters are selected from those with upcoming movies.
Even if she desperately wanted to go she wouldn’t be able to. She can only go to the parties this year. Which it looks like she did

She never had a role in Hamnet, that's Emily Watson. She met with Chloe Zhao before Zhao was even announced as director and was more likely related to a Women In Film project that Zhao was involved in.

OH. So I guess along with the heroin chic look from the 90s and early 2000’s we’re also reverting back to racist stereotypes… Because unless you’re actually Mexican who currently lives in Mexico… STFU about narcos or cartels, because I can guarantee you wouldn’t run your mouth if you actually had to deal with them. And you would also know better than to assume that someone is affiliated with them if there’s no proof that they are.
The way some of you like to “joke” about cartels is beyond fucked up. Because you would NEVER run your fucking mouth if someone you knew had fallen victim to the way they operate. And while I’m at it… Cartels and narcos wouldn’t be this much a problem if multiple countries including the U.S. weren’t their biggest customers and contributors in the first place.
