There’s been lots of books about her before. Some of which she’s got quite upset about, nothing new…
I very much doubt she’s written anything. She’s said the play is too personal, and she’s said she might write an autobiography some day but not anytime soon.

That Oxford parties comment is complete nonsense. She keeps things entirely to a close circle of very good friends.
Eden - please distinguish “from” Deuxmoi and something being on Deuxmoi as people will think Deuxmoi said this. Sometimes things on DM and its podcast etc are supposedly from sources close to stars and they try and verify claims etc.
In this instance DM makes it very clear that this was from a vague email submitted to them anonymously, and they were simply intrigued by it so posted it. DM have no info on it themselves.

My guess is that it’s a book WRITTEN by her or co-authored by her and the rumor is just wrong. Or maybe a new biography book about her life. It’s honestly very confusing to me how something could be written about someone with it being “wild”. Because my definition of wild at the moment is like something dealing with Epstein or P Diddy. So, gross wild. And we all know Emma isn’t into anything like that.
I’d like to mention another book that truly fascinated me. It’s almost unbelievable! A very positive lyrical collection/poetry book that was dedicated to Emma.

It’s a supposedly funny book about a fictional friendship with a celebrity. It’s not ‘about’ Emma! She’s just the celeb in the story. The author also seems like a massive massive Emma fan. She’s done a play as well. It seems like either she herself or her character was depressed and starting writing to ‘Emma’ and then tried to meet her.
So it’s just a funny or interesting story where it’s Emma versus another famous person. It’s not the expose that was hinted at AT ALL, or anything actually about Emma.

The summary of this book is so creepy. A person develops a parasocial relationship with an actress and then start to stalk her. This might be "quirk and fun" in the american films but I always found it dangerous. And frankly its tone-deaf as fuck due to the fact that Emma had a few stalkers with the same type of story "oh I like her so much and always admire her I just wanted to be close, to know her. I just NEED to talk to her". If the author think Emma's going to like it .... I wouldn't bet on it

The author is saying it’s “real” because her writing to Emma, and going to Oxford and all of that is all real. And she did imagine those conversations with Emma. So she’s being deliberately vague and obtuse trying to sell her book.

I understand referencing a real person in a book, but building an entire book around someone who is still alive, without their permission, and even putting their name in the title? It may be legal, but that doesn’t make it right. A blog post or short fictional piece would already be enough, so publishing a full book about a real person feels excessive and invasive.

What I would say though is Nupur went to Oxford for her MBA. So she might be seeing other friends.
So many things have been said over the years that she would do, and nothing happened. She was supposed to produce Queen of Tearling, be in Betsy and Napoleon (before Queen of...), Hamnet, movie last year. None of these have happened. I check every once in awhile to check for movement. Queen of the Tearling Warner Bros pulled because of the amount of money they lost on things like Jupiter Assending. That’s not Emma’s fault and loads of movies don’t get made (the majority of movies proposed don’t get made).
Hamnet was only rumoured because she met Chloe. We have no idea if she was ever looking at or looked at for that. You can’t hold her to those types of things.

I don’t like tell all books about who are still alive and didn’t consent to them being published though. Because it’s not “tea” it’s invading someone’s private life for profit that isn’t even going to them. Also if the author makes shit up and the person is about sues them for defamation . I’m a different anon but would call out two key differences, firstly we’re only speculating on a small blog, not publicizing it or doing it for profit.
Also it’s very different than if an actual friend of hers or someone with knowledge wrote or sold a story which would likely need to be the case for any big book.
There is a difference between someone following updates about her or viewing already published photos, compared to publishing a book to profit from her name.
