Emma Watson to appear on 'Travels in Written Britain'

[Version française]

NUNEATON'S most famous daughter will feature in a national television programme this weekend - along with some of the area's best-known locations.

George Eliot is to be the subject of Lord Melvyn Bragg's new series Travels in Written Britain, which will see the world-famous novelist's history told against the background of places in her life.

The programme is part of a new ITV series looking at how the places of Britain have influenced writers throughout history.

Sunday's episode, which will discuss some of the Midlands' most influential writers, will see comedienne Josie Lawrence reading from George Eliot at Arbury Hall.

There will also be an extract from George Eliot's great niece's diary read by Harry Potter star Emma Watson.
