PEOPLE TREE
Teen Vogue has placed Emma's collection "Love From Emma" at the first place of their Top Ten Spring Fashion Trends.
1. Earth GirlEmma Watson brings her glam touch to ethical fashion.Emma Watson's new line isn't your typical celebrity vanity project. The Harry Potter star is more focused on strengthening the roots of Fair Trade than growing her own fame. "Girls I've spoken with are as conscientious as ever, yet there's so little ethical clothing out there for people my age," she explains. Which is why the actress has elected to collaborate with People Tree. The British Fair Trade brand uses fashion to fight poverty by establishing sustainable businesses in developing countries, then paying a fair price for goods they produce. "In a way, I did it for me because I couldn't find what I wanted in stores," says Emma. "This collection reflects my casual side, the stuff I'd wear to class," she adds of the striped T-shirt dresses and soft gray blazers, spun from organic cotton—as in, grown without toxic chemicals. "The cuts are sexier than most sustainable brands. I'm a perfectionist, so I couldn't sleep if something wasn't exactly the way I wanted." Her proudest achievement? "I made sure everything felt good. Organic clothes can be scratchy, but ours feel heavenly!" —EVONNE GAMBRELL
