Nothing on Emma so far snd pictures of lots of the readers are up. Looks like Variety got that one wrong somehow. Or Emma got Covid or something (it’s absolutely rife in London, half the officers work currently has it).

Maybe Benedict Cumberbatch mentioned Emma about something else to do with Choose Love? As they are being supported at it. Because she doesn’t seem to be there Eden unless they are holding back pics of her for some reason??

No photos of Emma which is weird but not everyone is on IG, they haven’t shown Woody though he was there. There is a video from very far away of the cast doing an ovation and she might be on the far right, but that might just be me being too hopeful

I wouldn’t consider Variety’s passing mention as much of an announcement. They might just have got the wrong end of the stick. It wasn’t in marketing like with Vogue World (she must just have been ill for that).

About a year ago, Benedict Cumberbatch and Emma Watson got some kind of award from Oxford. I want to say Fellowship, but I only remember this vaguely, for so much information was circling at the time. Does anyone remember this?

I don't remember an award, just them being named "visiting fellows", whatever that means.
A visiting fellowship just means she studied at Oxford while she was enrolled somewhere else. That's why she had to do the matriculation ceremony for her masters course, because she never enrolled at Oxford for her bachelors degree.
From Bristol university: "Visiting Fellows are scholars resident in the School for short periods of time or a specified length of time (up to 12 months) who conduct their own research whilst benefiting from, and contributing to, the research culture of the School of Education."
No, they were non academic visiting fellows so different. They are there to advise on put on sessions on non academic aspects (ie not officially teaching, more debate and cultural stuff).

After her period ended LMH wanted to keep her on (likely due to her involvement and engagement with students) so made her an associate fellow

Nope, that’s when she’s was an exchange/visiting student. Her fellowship which wasn’t her studying was different, that was an appointment for her to contribute to the learning of students culturally outside their courses. Which she did for a few years. But you’re correct that neither meant that she was enrolled so had to matriculate.
The UK acting scene at the top level is comparatively small to US, and her and Benedict have mutual friends, so they likely first met years and years ago. They are both also very supportive of Choose Love so must meet at those events.
