Just fans using art and writing as an outlet for relaxing/enjoyment.
He even sang a few songs about his HP character and her HP character. I think he enjoys it just as much as some fans. Those that find it cringe don’t let bother you too much. He’s in her life and is very kind towards her. She seems to also enjoy having him as a friend too. Anyone that likes, supports, and says good things about our Emma is okay in my book!

If you put something out there in public then it’s going to get judged.,you can’t demand respect. And quite frankly most fan fiction is rubbish. A small portion are ok to very good
I have to be really honest and say that I think he did well here, he wasn’t pushing it like he sometimes does. The interviewer asked him and he answered really well in my opinion, he straight away mentioned Drarry and Drapple, then said he and Emma know about it but it isn’t their cup of tea! Haha! (Made me laugh, as he also said he hasn’t read it but he definitely has as he’s mentioned it before and also read some on one of his Lives in instagram once 😆) but yes I don’t think he pushed the Emma part much at all, just moved right along, it didn’t feel the same as when he used to go on and on about her.
Also did anyone notice how he skirted the question about whether he’d like to be in the new series? Either he’s been cast as Lucius (I’d love that!) or he didn’t want to say he’d like to in case he came across as desperate if they don’t ask him. I thought the interview was great 😊

Ok but notice how it was the interviewer who brought Emma up and even then Tom spoke about her very briefly, and then when he was asked about dramione he brought up drarry and drapple, he did an interview recently where he got asked who he’s the closest with and he mentioned the phelp twins, Matt Lewis, Dan and even Rupert but no mention of Emma even though they’re supposedly close friends…. lol I think I’ve seen this film before 😶
Their social media person is always reposting stories that Renais is tagged in. I highly doubt they deliberately went out to repost something with a username of a fictional ship in it. Also none of Emma’s siblings follow Tom so… I’m gonna go on a ledge and say that Renais’ social media person probably reposted somebody else’s story without thinking too much of it.
If this is the movie we’ve seen before, then that means we’re getting closer and closer to Feltson fans not bringing them up every time one of them is spotted with somebody of the opposite sex… And honestly, we cheer. Don’t get me wrong I have nothing against their friendship, but they’re both pushing 40 and most likely in relationships with other people (rumors say Tom’s married). Yet some people still talk about the “what ifs” of a relationship that never even happened.

I feel like Emma currently really enjoys her private life, her academic life and whatever else she is doing and probably wished she wasn‘t famous. I assume that she and Tom are still close friends, speaking on the phone on a regular basis so he can probably tell how happy she is when not being in the spotlight and doesn‘t want to pull her back into it - unless it‘s okay with her. I hope I‘m right about it and it’s not him abandoning his friend again because his girlfriend/wife is jealous. In a healthy relationship you should be able to be friends with people from the opposite sex.

I think this was when he was with Jade and grew apart from his friendship with Emma. Jade seemed very jealous of her. They seemed to reignite their friendship after he split from Jade, when Tom really needed Emma’s support.

They’ve been friends for over 20 years why should she have a problem with him speaking about his friend who he’s supposedly never been romantic with? This is why I question when they say nothing romantic ever happened because why are both of your partners supposedly stopping you from speaking about your “platonic” friend?

I really think Emma made a mistake by admitting her crush on Tom in 2011. I can’t understand what made her do it? Their relationship was already strained and Tom got super awkward when asked questions about Emma (likely because Jade was usually always there with him) it must have made things very difficult for Jade to accept a friendship between them! I don’t know why Emma thought it was a good move. She was inundated in questions about Tom, at one press event they even asked her if she’d like to kiss Tom and Jade was right there in the audience! She deflected and said ‘Tom’s beautiful girlfriend is right here… if you asked 12 year old Emma, absolutely, but 21 year old Emma - No’ things like this didn’t help.
I really think that their relationship dwindled before that anyway though, Tom was so in love with Jade and I think any platonic friendship suffers a bit when a romantic relationship forms as the person can’t be around the platonic friend as often - especially with someone famous, and with fans constantly speculating! There was loads of weird stuff like Tom and Emma leaving that awards ceremony right when Emma presented her award, and the hugely awkward radio interview when the presenter tried to trick Tom into saying he’d kissed Emma during filming. It all must have been very difficult for Jade.
It doesn’t explain why he’s gone a bit funny now though, there’s no huge revelation or anything and they’ve been back to ‘platonic soulmates’ for years! Why the sudden downplaying in his interviews? Maybe Roxanne just has decided she doesn’t like it, maybe Tom’s got bored of pushing it, or maybe they’ve fallen out, as he didn’t post for her birthday? Maybe Tom’s engaged or married now.
There was one year when Tom made birthday posts not only for Emma but for almost everyone on Potter. It‘s not something he did every year. I think they usually wish their friend happy birthday in private.
