Anybody who thinks loads of people with power from an industry gather in one place and do not talk shop and agree film rights and distribution deals are deluded. You can literally talk to anyone in film who will tell you things get green lit at Cannes. Secondly, just because it’s not on IMDb doesn’t mean she doesn’t have an agent! And she could get funding for a film with just her lawyer.

Attendees also get access to Cinando, the largest professional database of the film industry. Cannes operates this, which contains participants' contact information, lists of projects in development etc. Like if you are a producer, screenwriter, actor or director getting into these events at Cannes (and not just outside it with the influencers) is a dream. Emma is 100% there for work
She met Paul once at an awards ceremony, there is zero evidence they are friends. If anything she follows Josh O’Connor on IG. But there’s still nothing to indicate she’d fly to Cannes to support either. Liklihood is she saw their film, amongst many others, because she was already there

No, don't think so. It's not specifically mentioning him. Just says a bodyguard was there. We don't have any full pics of the gathering. I do think that he chose to wear the shoes as it fit.
