I’d imagine photographers are outside Clooneys house and generally up and down lake Como a lot during the summer. His house is right on the lake. However in this case, I’d imagine she’s probably been there for a few days and word just went around.
It appears the photog Sean contacted Backgrid with his photos which is from whom deuxmoi got the photos of Emma’s arrival at the Clooney villa on the 8th.
Surprised they haven't been associated as friends before: Clooney's wife, Amal Clooney is a human rights lawyer, has a proffessorship at Oxford and the couple are very active in human rights, especially as it pertains to Middle Eastern women (Amal is Lebanese by birth.) Emma and the Clooney's have a lot of interests in common, I can imagine Her and Amal being, if not friends, at least aquaintances.
I remember she was on an island with Clooney and other famous people before playing pickle-ball or some other sport, Richard Branson was involved and maybe...Kevin Costner?

She doesn’t have luggage with her so she’s probably been there for a couple of days, and they’ve heard she’s there.
She arrived at the villa on the 8th. See deuxmoi. I don’t think it was a pap but a fan who happened to be there at the right time.
