She’s not a meet and great person, doesn’t do paid autographs, stepped away from Hollywood money at her peak…but she will get on cameo for a quick cash grab? No shot.
You think the same person who consistently has avoided any type of fan interaction where she gets paid … is going to be on Cameo of all places??? And I thought I was delusional for hoping that she post more at least one picture that wasn’t affiliated with a brand or an organization this year.
I honestly don’t think that’s going to happen. After following Emma for more than 20 years, I feel like there’s a pretty clear pattern in the way she chooses to do things. Emma gets involved when she’s genuinely passionate about something or when there’s a personal reason that motivates her and when she feels that a particular chapter has served its purpose, she simply moves on from it.
That’s why I find it hard to imagine her doing a cameo just because fans want it or because it would be nostalgic. It just doesn’t feel very much like her. She’s also never been someone who has turned interactions with her fans into a business, she has never charged people for autographs, greetings, or photos. She does things when she genuinely feels like doing them, when she truly wants to, and she doesn’t seem to respond particularly well to pressure or outside expectations.
Obviously, I could be wrong, because no one can know what Emma will do in the future. But this is how I’ve come to understand her after so many years of following her as a fan; Emma needs things to have meaning for her, she doesn’t do things simply because other people expect her to.

Peak? Her peak was 2011 as was with Dan, Rupert. But Emma was clearly in terms of column inches the bigger star.
