'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' trailer released on June 27

[Version française]

"A Warner Bros. representative confirmed to IGN FilmForce that the new HP trailer will debut with Steven Spielberg's A.I.: Artificial Intelligence on Friday, June 29th. Furthermore, America Online will be the first to post the trailer online on June 27th. The preview will remain exclusive to the online service until Friday."

A.I being PG-13, it is speculated that it will also be shown before the kid movie 'Cats & Dogs' which will be released on July 4.

"Pirate Bob" writes, "The second trailer for Harry Potter will absolutely positively play in front of A.I. next week. It runs a little over two minutes and is reminiscent of the first trailer. We see a lot more characters – Alan Rickman and John Hurt for example. There are also a lot more FX shots: A staircase that floats through the air; a three-headed dog like Cerberus, and a big stone giant looking thing. Like the first trailer, it doesn't tell much of the plot. I haven't read the books, so I can't get too specific about what's in the trailer. Although I could have sworn that Harry's lightning bolt scar was smack in the middle of his forehead, in the trailer its completely covered by his hair – he lifts his bangs to show it to his friend – and is off to the right above his right eye. Real nasty looking too."
