[Version française]

"The actor who exemplified girl power as wizard Hermione Granger is now a UN Women goodwill ambassador who helped launch the HeforShe campaign, which supports gender equality. A proponent of ethical and eco-friendly fashion, Watson recently became chair of the sustainability committee on the board of French luxury conglomerate Kering, which owns Gucci, among other brands."

Other people on the list are Jamie Margolin, Marley Dias, Yara Shahidi, Miranda Yang, Nija Charles, Sara Mora and Katie Eder.

So cross section of visionaries, except for the group representing about 50% of the population.

I actually find it humorous that the magazine has gone to great lengths to ensure they have asian, black, hispanic, jewish and white females represented.

Of course no LGBTI+ activists as they presumably might frighten the readership.

I know I should write that I am proud off her, but Heforshe campaign and her involvement in UN is an old story and I don't know how her work in Kering gonna change of lives of ordinary people.

It's so funny how some people can't coexist with different oppinions and have the need to harass anyone who thinks different. What's the matter if some fans are proud of Emma for whatever the reason?? Stop being so annoying.

Just gonna hold my popcorn up to the screen to catch errant salt flying off these comments.

I'd like to say I'm proud of Emma before the comment section turns into a long ass debate. One of which will probably have nothing to do with the actual post.

A totally off topic question... Is there any reference of Emma being into football/soccer?? Has she ever mentioned any team?? Sorry for the deviation but I felt intrigued... lol

I recall seeing her photographed at a couple of Chelsea games, including alongside the owner Roman Abramovich.
So whether she went because she is a fan or for the free sushi, no idea.

As for her romantic pursuits it appears rugby rather soccer players are her personal preference.

She’s mentioned and publicly supported the England team numerous times, both men’s and women’s, and she was involved in announcing the women’s national squad for the world cup. Domestically she’s gone to a Chelsea match, as mentioned above, but that’s because she was invited by the owners ex-wife. Some of her close family members support Arsenal but she’s never talked about supporting a team publicly.

Thank you both for the answers! ;)

I heard a rumor she is getting a knighthood for services for activism? Anyone hear anything?

FWIW she would be known as a 'dame' (the female equivalent of a knighthood).

There is generally a stepping stone in awards, so becoming a dame straight off would be most unusual.
Lowest rank is MBE, then OBE, CBE & finally DBE/GBE (which entitles the holder to be known as a dame).
No surprise if someone in Emma's position were to be awarded an OBE.

However overseas tax shelters are most definitely frowned upon, so her naming in the Panama Papers would have done her no favours.

Which is why David Beckham and Lewis Hamilton haven't got theirs.

Lol I mean they knighted Jimmy Savile Royal Family are shady AF have money hidden all over the world and do unspeakable things in private (prince andrew) I'd hope Emma wouldn't accept any award from them or get involed with them at all tbh if she vaules activism and is a woman of the peopel at all

Lewis Hamilton will receive a knighthood in the Queen's New Year's Honours list, according to reports. The Royal Family didn't seem to care about his tax problems.

For purely political reasons of course. ;) Though the process has little to do with the royal family really.
