The Daily Mail also say that Leo and Emma split up this summer (let's forget they also said Emma and Chord had broken up only to post photos of them kissing soon after) and that her friends are surprised by the friendship as Sir Philip Green was accused of bullying and sexual harassment in 2018. Because children are an exact replica of their parents. Fact.
According to the site, "The friend [because "A source" was getting old I guess] said: 'Over the summer Brandon has been wooing Emma. Sounds like another article trying to tear Emma down after the use of a private helicopter didn't work out, but what do I know.

What can be called normal people? Most of them come from upper middle class families, not rich families. They are highly educated like Emma, but not as rich and non-celebrity as Emma, they're normal people to her except for two Brendans, who are very wealthy and famous businessmen.

That report is wrong, they confused it with non-exec. You would never call a director non-independent and I work in the city (London). They are either called executive if they work for the company, or non-executive/independent if they are independent. Emma is non-exec and has been from the beginning of her appointment.

You can't switch from one to the other. It's an SEC regulation, independent directors are not allowed to have any material or monetary connection to the company, past or present. It prevents them from being influenced by the CEO (in theory). Kering would be heavily fined if they did what you're suggesting.

Firstly as the last year and a half has been hell for the entertainment industry so there hasn’t been as much happening anyway (it’ll probably be more normal next year) and secondly she’ll have wanted to spend a lot of time reading, and learning for her new role at Kering. She’ll have wanted to do it properly.

You know she can do her work on a laptop mostly right? So she will have been doing a lot of stuff for them. Her role will be mostly non public which she eluded to in her vogue interview. Her being abroad and occasionally pictured on a beach or whatever has no bearing on that. It’s not an office based 9-5 Monday to Friday gig (not that very much has been for that two years or so). She’ll tour a faculty occasionally maybe but she won’t be in an office in any given country, all her meetings will have been remote.
Non-exec isn’t symbolic she have several obligations including legal ones. She’ll be doing a decent amount (especially at the beginning!) but it’s not a full time job, which is why people can be non-exec on several boards.

well you say Jlaw and Kstew emmas peers now we are on a good comparison how many movies they have they made compared to her as they are the same age? both also come from a huge franchise and had to out grow it this is a more fair comparison.
And again we're back to the same point, justifying her career. Yes, Leo made a movie in 2019, so did Emma. He went on to make more movies and she chose not to, in a pandemic. She still has movies in development.
As I said before, she's never been one to make loads of movies, she makes movies she likes or with people she likes. So why does that mean her career is over because she's not fighting over roles that presumably don't interest her?
Hollywood often stops casting women when they hit 30 its such BS! people think Hollywood is cured now Weinstein and others are exposed but similar awful people are still in power and keep these trash views of being over 30 is too old I think Emma is bored of fighting with these types of producers and stepped away.

The comparison with Di Caprio is ridiculous, just at the moment he has 1 work going to be released, 2 in post production and 2 announced. He was on set not long ago (still is?) for the new Scorsese. He is also almost always the lead whereas most movies Emma did was a supporting character.
I'd love to see her work more but it's clear her career took a turned after 2015. Little Women was nice but her casting seemed more related to Sony being desperate to have a famous name for promo than about Emma.

Most actors have to audition. Di Caprio often acts for Scorsese or Tarantino, so for that kind of movies it's not surprising he doesn't audition. Like how Helena Bonham Carter didn't audition when making movies with Burton.
The age barrieer isn't at 30 nowadays, most successful and acclaimed actresses are into their 30s even 40s. Just look at the oscar winners: from 2009 to 2021, 9 actresses of the 13 winners for 'Best Actress' were over 35. Hollywood is f*ucked up but her age isn't why Emma doesn't do movies anymore.
Robbie is doing tons of movies and producing a lot too, so she may feel that her peak has passed but she's still one of the most bankable actress today.
Harley Quinn will keep her relevant for at leats another 10 years, though she already seems tired of the role and wants a break from this character nd probably doesn't want to be just know as harley quinn forever but it might too late already

It's weird that her relationships never lasted more than 2 years, just like she was under a spell to suddenly break up at some point. It's obvious that Emma is not good at managing relationships and marriage is not for her, maybe she will never find Mr. Right, when she gets old she will look for young fellas :P
I also find it weird how her relationships only last 2 years at most. It’s almost as if she knows it, and may break up with them after 2 years just to keep the pattern going, lol. I also agree that maybe due to her parents’ divorce, marriage just may not be for her and is not the settling type. Maybe she’s taking this time to actually enjoy life and travel since she’s been working since she was a kid. I honestly thought Leo was endgame too considering how tabloids kept describing him as “definitely a keeper” and she was “really serious about him” and “their family and friends agree that they make a gorgeous couple and wish to see more of them” and “their friends expect them to make things official at some point”. Maybe those were just exaggerations by the press to make their stories more interesting, who knows.
everyone say it was a joke when emma called herself 'self-patterned' but i think she actually means it. She will date a guy sure but she only loves herself truly in the end haha (oh and secretly eden of course :P )
Parental divorce can affects child's relationship status, and I think Emma was affected and distanced herself from the marriage. She has been in so many relationships and definitely had unforgettable love. If she sticks to the pattern of self-partnered, she'd better not invest too much emotion in a relationship.

Let's not act like some people on here haven't wished Emma would break up with almost every boyfriend she's had since I can remember. Every time she's seen with a guy many people start to make bets on when they will break up. For example most comment sections this past year in regards to her relationship with Leo, However we don't even know if Emma and this Green guy actually dating or just FWB. But people are already assuming they won't last even though we don't even know if they're actually dating. Some of y'all assume she's broke up with any of her boyfriends the second she's seen without him. For my most recent example Leo. I don't know if they're broken up or not if they are them I hope it was amicable. However don't pretend that some of you guys care now when y'all were saying how you wanted them to break up up in other comment sections.
I'm surprised if her & Leo really split up considering she brought him to her movie premiere when they dated for barely 3 months. She seemed very serious about him, what with them living together and quarantining together and in general, probably getting to spend more time to get to know each other than with her previous boyfriends. Why assume she is the one breaking up? Maybe she wants to settle down but her exes didn't have the same goals. Her exes were maybe more interested in focusing on their career or just dating/having fun than marrying and having a family.
2 years seems logical to break up, it's around that time when you get more serious talking about commitment and the future. If they both have different view of the future then it's logical to breakup. No need to call Freud ;).
They definitely talked about their views on marriage, maybe she was anxious about it, I don't think her exes wanted to get married and put pressure on her, it didn't seem like her exes were the type to want to settle down either, they could have kept living without getting married but it all ended within 2 years, maybe for her 2 years was the longest period and she just got tired of it.
It seems that she and Leo broke up amicably, she kept that account and did not delete pics. She said that she and her ex could continue to be friends, I hope that she and Leo do the same.
Guys stop that. There is no way they have broken up. There is no way she would keep that account, even if they broke up. If you have broken up with someone amicably (or not), you can keep your photos on your laptop and no harm. You don't keep a shared account, with the fear that it might be hacked one day. I hope they are OK together and we get to see them around soon enough.
Well, if she was worried about the account getting hacked she wouldn't have created it in the first place. If she was worried about him getting into it, she would just change the password (assuming he even had it) and deauthorize other devices. With two-factor authentication it's pretty hard to break into social media accounts unless you're a state actor.

Well at least she's okay. Haven't seen or heard much about her in public for a long while. I was afraid the virus might have gotten her. That Brandon is a lot younger than her so that might surprise me. I worry about that family though and he is often seen surrounded by models and so on. Hope she doesn't get her heart broke with a guy like that. Anyway, best thing I got from seeing this article is that Emma is okay!
