Quick post to say that two people sent me this (thank you, Anon and Fael). It's a screenshot from RottenTomatoes which, to my knowledge, is a website where professionals and randos like me rate movies. I don't know if it works the way IMDB works and if anyone with an account can add a movie, but I don't see how Rotten would get the exclusivity of a new movie with Mark Ruffalo directed by Emma. Makes zero sense to me but I'd love to be wrong. 99,99% I'm not though.

While I do think this is fake there is always the chance that someone heard about something and put it into a database although it's not official in any way. I remember that there was an old cast list of the first Harry Potter film that someone put up on IMDB where quite a few names were wrong. Maybe it could be something like that? But yeah, most likely bullshit and the film title sounds like a nonsense title too.

AFAIK there is only one friend that deactivated their IG. And they are known for doing that now and then. But I don't think it has anything to do with a holiday because the friend always posts when they are on a trip together.

Amazing how all the actresses of Emma's generation are in their prime: Margot Robbie, Emma Stone, Kristen Stewart, Saoirse Ronan... and even with their own production companies actively operating. It has been two years since we heard from Emma's company but nothing has happened.
I don't know how many more excuses can be made to justify Emma's lack of action.
She spent years complaining about the lack of variety in women's roles and has been unable to create anything IN AGES.
I have no choice but to think that she has simply been lying all this time.

I just hope she is fine and that dropping everything is only a choice and not something else. She didnt look at all like a happy person on that last Hassan's photo but photos can be deceiving. If its her choice to become a private person and live a quiet life at her hometown there is nothing we can do. Maybe its really the time for Eden stop joking and pick someone else Lol

Maybe she's taking her Master Course extremely serious and only focusses on that right now. She has the luxury to tread it like a full time thing because she can afford that.
So maybe she is working on her own film with her own script but of course we won't know that.
A bit sad that they stopped using her face for Renais marketing but on the other hand completely understandable if it is true that Alex's got nasty comments about only being successful because of his sister.
I am sure the state of her career is not only based on her decision. She would probably love to have Stone's career, otherwise she would have dropped acting altogether after her contract with Harry Potter ended. The most obvious answer is that she came to terms with the fact that she will never be successful again as an actress, that the goodwill for Harry Potter finished a long time ago and she will not be cast just because she will bring people to theaters like with BatB, and that whatever she does there will be a huge chunk of people online who will criticize just because (see Little Women, she did fine in a minor role but she was unfairly dragged down by people on Twitter and Letterboxd just because her accent dropped here and there, as did Saoirse's but obviously she is untouchable)
Whether she is happy knowing that or not nobody knows except for her and her close ones and we certainly can't deduce it from how she looks in one picture LOL
There is nothing we can do except waiting 22 June to Eden posts the new photos.

I think people need to stop comparing Emma with other actresses that clearly have a complete different personality and career choices. It’s obvious that it’s not acting ability or lack off it that is the reason Emma isn’t doing anything. She could easily book herself with something if she wanted to, a play, a movie, whatever, she has the money to produce something if she wanted. Maybe not always something big, maybe, but she is already a millionaire, she doesn’t need the money, if acting was her biggest passion she would be doing something doesn’t matter the size of it. It’s simple not what she wants to do. Reasons why? We can speculate many but none here known her truth.
People also seem to be assuming that you have to dedicate your entire life to something if you have any interest in it at all. She likes telling stories, part of which is acting, that doesn't mean it's the only thing she ever wants to do. I like Dr Pepper, but for the sake of my teeth I don't drink half a gallon of it a day.
To be honest I’m not sure if she wants to act out of free will or because people keep projecting their desires on to her. She’s literally come out and said how she’s taking a step back from the spotlight, and given how she’s been so lowkey this this year it tracks. If she ever decides to come back I hope it’s because she wants to not because she felt obligated to do so.
Maybe she’s on the next chapter of her life and that’s finding her soulmate
I don't think we have to compare Emma to any other actress. I mean, I have never seen Emma be so passionate about acting. Of course, she did more acting jobs after Harry Potter because it was something that she knew how to do and also she had too many offers.
It's obvious from her childhood interviews that acting is not what she loves the most.
Now, has she ever had so much time to not appear anywhere? I think from Milano we haven't seen her and this photo Hassan.
Maybe she is busy writing a movie or play 🤷
