Venice in 2022 was held from august 31 to september 10. She was there for a few weeks earlier.
Oh sorry it seemed the video was from today...but today is the last day of Venice, most of the industry people have gone to TIFF and the actors and directors there are attending the awards this afternoon. Who would be pitching a project with her?
She was there for the opening days of the festival as well.
She also followed a journalist who was covering the festival on instagram.
It's curious that she's attending the last day or days of the festivals when most people have already left.

She may be getting a feel for what types of projects producers and distributors are interested in. You don't just go up to random producers with a pitch, that's an amateur move. You pitch to the producers whose product is most in line with what you're offering.

The distributors are only interested in franchises, sequels, remakes and biopics. If one indie movie is lucky and gets good reviews in a festival A24 or Neon buys the distribution but sadly 90% of Hollywood doesn't want original movies anymore
Sadly. Even book adaptations which used to be the foundation of Hollywood have become quite difficult to produce.
Like I said earlier, even Kristen Stewart at the height of her popularity couldn't get a deal for Chronology Of Water for years. Name recognition isn't even enough now.
To be fair the Daily Fail said she was a Dior ambassador not too long ago… Her contract is with Prada beauty, which I’m assuming is a less exclusive contract that the people with contracts with Prada itself have. I mean Sabrina Carpenter also has a contract with Prada beauty, but she was invited by Gucci to the Met Gala this year… Also wasn’t Emma wearing Loewe the like a year after Prada Paradoxe launched, when she launched Renais with Alex?
2025 is spoiling us with how often we’ve seen Emma Watson, and honestly, I love it. Some people once assumed she had retired, but that was never the case. She’s always been private, yet she’s still connected to film, art, and her other projects and when she takes on a role, it’s because it genuinely interests her, not because she owes anyone an explanation.
I think part of the reason she stepped back for a while is because so many people still only saw her as Hermione Granger, even well into her adult years. Sure, she shares some traits with that character, but Emma Watson is not Hermione she’s her own person, a grown woman with her own path. And honestly, she’s been treated pretty brutally by the media and fans at times, no matter what she’s done. At the end of the day, there’s only one Emma Watson, and she deserves to be seen as herself.That’s why 2025 feels different it feels like a fresh chapter for her, one where she’s more visible again on her own terms. And honestly, it’s just good to see her out there, being Emma.
In Cannes she was wearing Chanel = France, in Venice she's wearing Gucci= Italy. It's very easy to see the promotion

I don’t think you just go to Cannes and Venice to attend screenings. She is definitely there to pitch something of her. You don’t stay around the industry if you want to retire. Don’t get my hopes up, Emma! Fingers crossed!
I think she’s been working in the background across a few things for several years and it often takes that long to get them developed. She’s not at festivals as holidays she’s working

I’m happy to be seeing so much of her, and this recent sighting gives me hope for new project(s).
She’s said numerous times publicly that she’s not retired, and that she’s been planting seeds and developing things. I think it’s across writing, producing, directing and acting. It might take a while but I think over the next 5 years we’ll see her doing all of them (whether or not she does the DPhil which she can do full or part time). She would not be at festivals if she didn’t want to work. Also she looks terrific. She’s clearly looking after herself.

Well this is the same case, don't get your hopes up until there is proof that she's working on something, maybe you don't know but influencers, models and actors are invited to festivals to promote brands

She could well have been working at the Oscar parties too. People don’t seem to understand that sometimes getting passion projects over the lines takes years. Just because we don’t see something afterwards doesn’t mean she wasn’t working.
She could well have been working on something before the Oscar parties. Very few projects get made.
She was likely networking/working for that acting project that unfortunately fell through back then. That happens so much in the film industry.

If she was there to show her comeback why no one knows what project she is pitching? The Daily Mail loves to reveal her secrets and know what she does
I don’t know. I’m just saying that seeing her in Venice is something positive, to me. As I’ve already said, she is not giving to me the impression of an actress who wants to retire. Quite the opposite actually, since she is always around the industry. Especially in the last few months. That’s what I’m saying.
She has never left the industry, she has presented at the BAFTAs in 2022 and she's attended premieres of movies. The question is if she will act again if she can produce or direct a movie and have full control but that is very difficult if you don't have a project in 7 years, the movie industry only give power to people like Scorsese, Nolan, Gerwig and Spielberg
