How well do you know your character?
Emma Watson: Very well, especially since this is the third time around. In the beginning of working on the third movie, we were asked to write a piece on who we thought our characters were. It made me think about how Hermione uses her books and schoolwork as a comfort blanket. It's like a mask, so she doesn't have to deal with emotions or get homesick. She can just cover it all up by being clever.
How do you keep your energy up when you have to do the same scene many times in a row?
EW: I just tell myself every time I do it that this is the first time I've done it.
What do you do during your downtime on set?
EW: I have a table-tennis table in my dressing room, so I play that. I listen to music, and there's lots of schoolwork to do. I also chill out with the other kids on the set.
What other roles would you like to play?
EW: I've always wanted to play Velma in Chicago.
Are there other careers you would like to pursue in the future?
EW: I've always loved singing, dancing, any kind of performing, really. I also love art and sports.
What's your favorite American TV show?
Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint: The Simpsons
EW: Yep. Ooh, and Friends.
Can you go anywhere in England without being recognized?
EW: It's okay, because a lot of people [where I live] know who I am and they're used to seeing me around.
Is it hard to watch the other films now?
EW: I can't watch them, either.
