Lovely pictures overall, but to me her face is a bit too "harsh" for the role of Belle who's more lighthearted as a character, carefree, optimistic. Well, in my opinion at least.
Well, Belle was in a harsh situation. This being a live-action film, her face had the expressions fitting to the situation. Reading your line, I wondered how I would look being trapped in a dark castle with a monster.
Even wearing the yellow dress in the film, she was not yet sure what would happen. He was still a monster, and their future was unsure. leaning into the integrity of the movie and where she was at the time, it would have been illogical for her to look bubbly and euphoric. She and the Beast still ran against time; the last pedal was about to fall.
