I heard that as part of your cast bonding and prep work, Sofia had you guys "break into" someone's house? What was that like?
That was a lot of fun. Sofia had scheduled bonding time for all of us so we could get to know each other and the last day of pre-production, she had Katie [Chang] round us all up, take us in a minivan and go break in to [Sofia's] sister-in-law's house, I believe. We get in a van, we headed up in the hills to a house and we're all sneaky and whatnot, jumping the fence and I think it was Emma [Watson] who opened the door to the gate -- I don't know why we didn't think to check -- and we were being sneaky. Finally we found a window that was open, started crawling in, and Claire [Julien] fell and at that point we started laughing and got loud. We ran through and started grabbing everything that was on the list. We left some stuff so we had to run back up.
What was it like working and hanging out with the rest of the cast?
Katie [Chang] is a very intellectual woman. She's usually doing school -- voluntarily. She's going to Columbia, I believe, in August for creative writing. Taissa [Farmiga] was my best bud on set. Her and I would go hang out with the crew and hit up craft services. We'd mess around. It was pretty dope craft services. Red vines were our snack of choice. Claire was usually in the wardrobe trailer. She loves fashion. We couldn't get her out of it. And then Emma [Watson] was usually in her trailer -- there were always paparazzi around because they knew she was there. We respected her privacy. Do what you gotta do. Katie and I went spinning -- I don't [spin]. That was awful.
