Well its still about 2 3 month before 'early 2024' passes you know
if its a smaller movie it wont take that long to shoot and could still start production then,
also thats a key phrase, it was to go 'into production'

The quote was not hers, but the journalist's. "The last time we spoke for this article, in March, her plans to return to acting had become more concrete, with a movie that, all being well, will begin shooting in early 2024."

The first quarter of 2024 is “early” 2024 and also - all was not well in the film industry after that. It will undoubtedly have been delayed!
Unless it's shooting in Europe it will have been delayed by at least 3 months, production crews are booked with all the 2023 productions that got delayed. So her movie might not even start filming till June or July.
I think she cleverly let the author of the article mention that and not herself directly so if it didn't work out in the end it is not on her for mentioning it

She'd left the resort by then, she was in a different part of Florida.
It won't release until the second half of next year at the earliest anyway. Even European projects got delayed because lots of American movies get shot over here.
Her friend Mack Breedan has a new production company and has a crowd fundraiser for a movie that should start shooting next month. I don't know if Emma wold act in something so small but maybe she was talking about that to the Journalist?
It doesn't always have to be a big Hollywood production.

In the UK Vogue interview she didn't talk about a new movie at all so maybe last March it was in development but with the strikes it didn't go forward
Maybe the movie has been canceled. A lot of shows and movies have been canceled since the strike. She hasn’t mentioned anything about it since that one interview. She didn’t even bring it up in her most recent interview
That Mack Breeden project is a short, not a feature. Given the way she's made her other shorts, I doubt they would have been planning the shooting schedule a year in advance. It might still be that, but seems unlikely to me.

This site is very easy to get EW updates like new projects new pictures even fans talking about rumors but I haven’t seen any with the other actors from the HP movies and I wouldn’t mind going to their sites if it was tastefully done like this one.

Ok, from just Emma’s post you wouldn’t know what country the resort is, they have multiple ones (so not a big risk for her to post whilst she’s there). You needed to know who to look for to know the country, and then there’s only one it could be. But this requires info so she might still be there
