Emma is not very frequent at promotions or Q&A, she only attends premieres. When she was younger, she went, but with the years, less, except in Beauty and the Beast, which obviously did not have another option, she was Belle

o they haven't seen her since last year. That's strange, I know she's not the most important sister, but it would be great to see all of them in talkshow or something. If I was a producer of the movie I would expect that.
I have always thought that in this type of sites, that is, Q&A, interviews with the whole cast, it feels somewhat uncomfortable, because, I don't know how to explain it, it is no longer the center of attention, and many times, she is not the protagonist. In Beauty and the Beast, he did all the Q&A and interviews with the cast, because there was no other option, how will Belle not be present? She is the protagonist. And that was a great reason, she was the protagonist. But, honestly, I've always thought he likes to talk, talk, and be the center of attention. It's probably her decision to limit her promotional activities because which studio executive in their right mind wouldn't want one of the most recognised influential figures to not promote their movie? I think that promotions matter very little to her, it is a fundamental part of her work, All jobs have things that we don't like, but life is like that.
She's said that she never ok during press tours and given her latest comments on NOT liking that much attention on her. I'm not surprised that she's not at all the "Little Woman" events. Especially since Meg isn't the main focus, Jo(Saoirse) and Amy(Florence) are. I still wish she was at more of them though

I do not agree, I think she likes to be the protagonist, she has always been "girl" of the group since HP, and she does not like when there is more female presence in the movies. For that reason she does not attend those events when there are more female partners. It is a fact. I do not say that she is a bad companion or a bad person, I am only saying that we ALL have small defects, and in my opinion, Emma's defect is not knowing how to share protagonist.

Ok but did y'all know that studio are the ones in charge of the press and promo for a movie right? And the actors and actresses managers are only in charge of trying to fit it in with the actors personal life. They don't pick and choose what interview/event or premier they attend the studio and producers do. Since Emma has stated or implied multiple times that she's generally not OK when doing press or promo. I can see why she wasn't contractually obligated to attend every event...
Ok, there is no contract that forces her to attend the promotions of the movie, but the minimum is to support the movie, to the director who has given you the opportunity to participate in the movie. That is to have education and professionalism
If she doesn't have that in contract, she's not obligated to participate in any promo, but it's not that studio forbid her to do it. So she just doesn't want to promote her own movie. In my opinion it's a little bit unprofesional. About her ''not OK when doing press'' this rule does not apply when feminism is involved in the movie.

But if she has anxiety or something along those lines, it's something she cannot control. No matter the subject/cause defended in a movie.
Someone in Emma PR (is she still with Luke?) needs to tell her to get her attitude together and attend some of these Little Women promotions. There are two new promos happening with the main cast and she's still a no show. At this point is she even going to go to any of the premieres.
I think Emma sees acting as a hobby more than a profession, in fact I don't know what her "profession" is because it seems she needs to be one season with one thing, then she disappears, then she returns, she returns to disappear
After the end of HP, she said that she was not sure to continue acting, it is very normal, because they caught her when she was a child, and she has not known anything else, so she did not know what her vocation really was, but with 29 years, I think she continues not knowing what is her vocation or that is my impression

I saw she had plenty of interviews for 2 years when she promoted Heforshe campain and she had no problem with that. She interviewed all this writers for her bookclub and of course Denis Mukwege. Let's be honest she's not realy intrested in her movie career and it sad.

The golden rule in Hollywood is that actors and directors always should talk highly about their movies and co-stars when they do interviews, no matter what they truly think behind the camera

As someone from L.A. ,while it may be a golden rule not to talk bad about your co-stars,directors or crew . Some people don't follow it at all. And as far as I've heard Emma has never talked bad about anybody she's ever worked with so...

Ehhhh, honestly... Emma is really not a good actress. With all due respect. She's mainly successful in the movie bizz because she was in HP and chose her projects wisely accordingly. I think that, eventually, she'll barely make any movies and just focuses on activism which will still generate a nice income since she's Emma Watson. Though in my opinion she lost most of her credibility after the "self partnered-thing" since she's had about 15 boyfriends in her life, which is even highly above average in "white cultures".
