We took the gin, the dog and some really fly @Loewe clothes on holiday to do a first tasting of Renais with our nearest and dearest. It was for the shoot. She’s clearly said about the holiday to sell it as a holiday summertime drink. It’s a beautiful marketing campaign (and far more cost effective that a tv slot). She’s done a great job. Putting this all together is a full time job.

Yeah because the crew from her prada shoot were also there for a “holiday”. They had a few days off no doubt but they went away for a dreamy vacation vibes shoot with a family feel for gin, don’t be fooled. It’s a cracking video though. The entire marketing piece has looked great from start to finish

Holidays here means vacation, she’s wishing everyone a great summer vacation (and gin is a lovely summer vacation drink). The ad is deliberately going for dream family summer vacation vibes.
Holiday in the UK means vacation. They are going for the summer drinks market.

“Quick promo” - I think people who don’t work in creative industry are totally oblivious as to how long stuff like this takes, to plan, style, recruit and get in equipment, shoot, and all the post production. It looks like tv ad would. It would be shorter obviously as no story and a shorter length, but this isn’t “quick”. Good marketing like this is not quick.

Her mum probably had a holiday the other days. Emma was likely setting up the shoot, editing, speaking to bars and taking distribution meetings. Other work. No doubt she did some sunbathing but having a business even with Alex as the main person is very full on. Especially at the start

Holiday combined with work seems fair? she clearly is paid by someone to show off all these clothes and added her own Gin product to make some videos while meeting up with her family and friends for this Gin tasting it can be two things at once. This maybe took a few hours one day out of a week long trip.
Er the crew even have it up on their instagrams, the other stuff as well. It’s the prada crew.
Some people whose comments I won't publish seem to literally getting angry over whether it's a holiday or work. Some even using insults.

I think people are getting annoyed at people who have no concept on how long marketing like this takes to put together and shoot, and think it takes 10 mins or even a day.
Like others of course she no doubt had some time off. But the idea that her and her family shot this themselves is pretty laughable to be fair.

I think people are getting annoyed at the idea that this was done quickly over one day, when anyone who knows about marketing or shooting knows this is a professional shoot and would not have been a case. If people work in the industry I can understand a little annoyance.

It’s the same producers, riggers, editors etc as her prada campaign. It’s good they are working with her again
Maybe it‘s a work-related holiday. You go to a place you‘d spend your holidays or that is a tourist destination while you also do some work there the same time and that way enjoy to be doing so. It‘s the era of digital nomads, so.
Stylists, hair and markers artists etc were all there. You can find who was involved - one was Jennifer Harling who she’s worked with since potter which is cute
Great overall vibes. If Emma is behind production then she still needs to sharpen her editing. It’s a bit of a pattern of her’s to move frames too quickly which is something newbies do when working with effects. She needs a professional to vent her work.
I love the aesthetic. It’s very her. And it does look like the prada campaign so a lot of the same people make sense.

Um this looks like extended footage from old gin videos mixed with stuff maybe from that new magazine shoot she already posted? anyone know the old stories video of her and her family all at a table stuff that happened in France? I think its mixed together with that old stuff and new stuff.
I don't think this tasting happened in Ibiza in june this year, people are seeing her in pap pics there recently and think this shoot all just happened this summer most of this is stuff done in France last year imo
The timeline of her movements this summer is all messed up by the wrong pap picture dates I think.

I'm very knowledgeable on this subject do not try to prove me wrong.
Its not laughable people with very little equipment can make high quality productions in one day pretty easily its why influncers even make these insta stories and there are so many of them

Emma never said she’s “directing” the promo. She is the creative director of the company so she has loads of input and the final say and how it will all be done etc. doesn’t mean she shoots it.
Also most stuff done by influencers on IG is of very low quality, some are good, but you can usually tell when stuff is professionally shot.
Its just edited into vertical format imo that doesn't mean it was filmed on an iphone.

I’d name some of the crew but unlike Jennifer Harling a lot of their IGs aren’t private and from these comments I don’t want people spamming them. If you can find things on IG you should be able to find them.

You can make professional videos with just a phone and a decent mic yes that's true some people have even made full films shot on a phone or even just webcams during the pandemic...but its emma watson we are talking about...so guys she clearly brought the best camera possible for this stuff and a proper team too she has the money to do it. so like let's please just agree to disagree on this.

No I think you’re getting confused. Nobody is saying Prada made it, they are saying that a lot of the crew she worked with for prada also made these for example [nope], [nope] etc. Emma brought all of them in again. They shoot these new videos. People like Jennifer Harling did hair, Thea beauty did make up etc.
You can find all of this if you know where to look.
Emma’s production company may well have officially done it but she hired a large amount of the crew she trusted from her prada advert.
This stuff was all done new in Ibiza. If you can’t find things online to show that than Alex’s hair should immediately tell you. The dinner party stuff was shot in Chablis last Autumn. This all was shot this month."

Its not just about the equipment its about the overall direction and editing that's why only some limited people on youtube or tiktok actually make it big because despite only having a phone they have good editing skills and cam make high production with after effects or sony vegas
also later when they start making money they buy real cameras so its not always as low budget as you might imagine after they get a little success

No they aren’t. But the people saying it was some of the prada crew that also did the Renais work aren’t confused. That is true.
I think people got confused thinking that by “prada crew” it meant that prada itself was involved which more a language quirk. Prada weren’t. It was just some of the people who worked on it with her that she’s working with again, just now for Renais.
Hopefully that’s clear and I haven’t contributed to any confusion.
Most good social media influencers and photographers are using serious equipment. As good as phones now are they only get you so far.
