Eden, where does the rumor of Emma starring in Doctor Strange come from?
Everytime Joanne tweet something, I get second hand embarrassment. Now it is not even an embarrassment, how can people still support her is beyond my imagination.

I thought it came from a fan edit of Emma as Clea, but someone told me the edit was made after the "rumour". I don't know if it's true, but it is then I'm guessing the "rumour" comes from some fan poll where people voted for Emma as Clea or something similar. Wouldn't be the first time that happens. There's literally no reliable source that talked about it.
didn't Dr strange finish filming a while ago? I think Emma having a role would fully leak with her being seen on set by now or something and she has mainly been on holiday for 2 years so I don't know when she would be filming it?
She was trying for Black widow part before and maybe still wants to join MCU
The Black Widow thing has just as little evidence as the Doctor Strange one. They're both just internet speculation. She actually posted about an article on Instagram a while ago that criticised Hollywood creating "powerful women" roles that were just recycled male-dominated roles, so I'm not really convinced that she does want a role in the MCU.

Tbh I read that Emma has not been actively auditioninging for movies since 2015/2016 (little women was last minuet thing after Emma stone left) I also doubt she tried to get into MCU Emma likes her freedom too much to be in like a 10-year contract for sequels and stuff that would probably happen by joining MCU

There's a big difference between the filmmakers wanting someone and that person auditioning for it. Even that doesn't actually have any kind of evidence in the article, they only cite vague rumour.

Dr Strange rumors are just fan casting, totally outrageous stuff lol. She didn't really want to join Black Widow and didn't audition for it, that rumor was just that Kevin Feige wanted her to join but she gave up, tbh I wouldn't be surprised if she wanted to join the MCU.

Hmm it used to say emma is "Followed by JK Rowling and 12 others that i also follow" when I looked at Emma page with my account now JK Rowling is not on the list?
Just checked and as others have said JK is still following Emma. She’s following 903 accounts and Emma’s is the 4th account on the list on my app. So definitely not unfollowed.

Where is this post? Eden do you have a link? I don't think emma would say this as it would be like her talking bad about her own version of 'hollywood' Belle in BATB which was a forced powerful women retelling imo rather than let belle just be belle

Maybe its why emma stopped playing the hollywood game? she doesn't want to be these forced strong leads and wants to play real characters who are acting like normal women?
Emma is really wise tbh she understands how people don't like these kind of female roles that are forced to be powerful and act like men for no reason
