Needs to be about 250-300 pixels tall. It's ok on mobile but on a laptop it takes up most of the screen. The background is also white which makes the pure black elements a bit harsh. Maybe a mid-grey would be better.

I'm not really across Emma's friends/family.

But is there a Dr Sophie and a model Sophie or are they one and the same?

The reason I ask is that a model declaring she is now sober is all well and good, but a Dr publicly declaring she is now sober is a bit more troublesome.

I'll add that I don't have IG and there may context I'm unaware of and if it turns the OP misspelled the name and it turns out to be Emma's dog, well I can say then is shame Emma, shame.

I had no idea they wanted Emma to play Justine in Kristy... watched the movie a while ago (solely for Lucas Till in the four minutes of screentime he had), and it was surprisingly better than I thought, the actress really delivered the tension. But now I'm left wandering what it would be like if Emma had been the protagonist, just like when I found out about Lalaland... Do you think she should have picked differently when it came to her career projects? Like, taken more risks or something?

Jerry Lewis is American and I do not believe he performed in French. Though the French sure love him OY NICE LADY! Of course comedians like Gad Elmaleh and Blanche Gardin are great, plus classic performers like Desproges. The French are very funny.

It's Germans we used to have to worry about. Used to. Fuck I hate this timeline.

And yeah, if someone calls themselves "sober" it almost always means they once had an alcohol problem. As a working model, the pressure to use substances is crazy.

I think Emma was too worried with her reputation after Harry Potter. Maybe not too worried, but she definitely was careful with it. Understandable, considering the whole world held her to Hermione standards (who is literally a fictional character and was portrayed in the movies as this flawless girl). I would 100% understand if she felt so pressured to not fuck up that she ended up being too cautious with her career choices. And the result of it was being a little bit boring and predictable. Which she got criticized and called a bad actress for. No wonder why she left.

I just saw the first headline of feb 11 and stephen chbosky's quotes and idk why but i feel so nostalgic right now. i dont really remember because i was so young, but i feel like this era around the last hp movies and emma in her early 20s, everybody was so excited to see her career develop and where she would go with it. i feel like there were thousands of possibilities. and now there is a renais post every six months or so.

On what timeline was it better to make B&B than La La Land? Because in this timeline it was the worst decision.
La La Land maybe would have been very different with Watson, but I'm sure it would have brought her a lot of prestige as an actress. Even if she didn't stand out as much as Stone; Chazelle is fantastic at bringing out the best in his actors and Emma is not the best actress but not the worst either, so she probably would have made it to the Oscars as well because the film was a sure card for awards.
Then we see actresses like Ariana Grande and even Selena Gomez getting major nominations and awards for not so impressive roles, so I think what happened with Emma is that she made a lot of terrible career choices. Cologne???? Regression? The Circle? These were three big, blunderous mistakes. But the worst part is that she never managed to recover from those failures. She simply threw her career into oblivion and apparently gave up on it. Because yes, seven years without being on a movie set seems like an unspoken resignation to me.
We all expected great things from Emma after Harry Potter and the first two or three years after everything looked amazing, then she started making certain decisions that didn't make much sense. Plus she was one of those who every chance she got said she was very selective with her projects but in the end she ended up making horrible movies.
Beauty and the Beast made a lot of money because it is one of Disney's most beloved stories, not because of her. And you can see this when her independent films were box office flops. That it happens even to the best actors, it's not something exclusive actually. I think if she is considering a comeback she should do it as soon as possible because she has a lot to prove as an actress and there have been many new faces in recent years that are obviously above her in the Spotlight.
In fact I'm sure a lot of people have already simply written her off for good.

I see it a little differently. “Beauty and the Beast” was so successful because Emma Watson fit the role very well.
I think that "Regression", "Colognia Dignidad" and "The Circle" are definitely good films and the criticism of them is largely unjustified. The negative reviews came mostly from the USA. These films probably just didn't meet the taste of the American audience.
Emma seems to have consciously accepted the fact that other actresses are now more in the spotlight than she is. She clearly stated the reasons for her decision in the interview in Vogue December 2023 and I can understand that. 20 years in the spotlight are certainly tiring.
In any case, she seems happy with her decision. At least that's how she looks to me in the few recent photos.

Ok so first of all Colonia was not a bad movie. In fact, I would argue it’s Emma’s best acting role ever. And Beauty and the Beast was totally a success because of Emma and her name. Cinderella, the little mermaid and sleeping beauty are also as beloved stories but their remakes weren’t as successful as BATB. While Emma’s careeer isn’t the most expansive it is still very expressive. She stared in one of the biggest movie franchises ever and then went on to make meaningful films like Perks and Little Women, movies many people still hold in high regard years later. And her whole career isn’t just about movies- she’s done great work educating people on feminism and climate change. Might I remind everyone that she’s literally been working since she was nine years old- a LITERAL CHILD. Her of all people on the industry deserves a six year break to relax and renew herself

The problem is that she signs on because it's an adaptation of a book she likes, or it's a director she likes but that doesn't tell you anything about how the movie will end up. That's why she said she wants to be involved from the start.

I would personally argue that Beauty and the Beast being the highest live action princess movie was partially due to Emma herself. Girly gets dragged every time that somebody mentions the live action princess movies… but none of them have made over a billion yet. With the only exception being Lion King… but let’s be fr… most people watched it because Beyoncé is attached. And I’m not saying that the other movies were bad. It just shows that Emma’s name did help out B&B at the box office.I do feel bad for her though, every single time a new live action Disney film is out…girly gets dragged for a good chunk of the press tour of a movie she had nothing to do with. Or anytime a new Emma Stone movie is out as well, which is something I’ve never quite been able to understand…

Beauty and the Beast was a megahit because Hermione played Belle at the height of the entire universe having a crush on Emma. That's it. She made Disney over a billion dollars.

Lion King grossed more because it's a safe movie for kids.

Emma's a weird actress. She ranges from bored and listless (Regression, most of Beauty & the Beast, the Circle) to very good (Colonia, Harry Potter, This is the End, Little Women), to "holy shit where has this girl been hiding?!" (Noah, Perks, Bling Ring).

Seriously, watch the scene in Noah where she's singing her babies to sleep while Russell Crowe wants to kill them. She's captivating. And she was go good in Perks they stopped making Manic Pixie Dream Girl Characters entirely. Nobody could follow that.

I imagine Emma turned down La-La Land for many reasons. For one, she doesn't have a ton of musical training and nothing gets you panned like a bad singing/dancing performance. For two, the money from Beauty & the Beast was too good. If she got points on that movie, she's a happy camper. For three, La-La Land sucks? I know it was popular but it's such a corny Hollywood self-blowjob.

Unfortunately, she tends to have a bad picker for projects. Even her great performances tend to underperform at the box office. And she's one of the most hounded and analyzed actresses alive.

As for HeForShe, it's largely considered a successful initiative by the UN. It raised their women's rights programs' profile significantrly and got plenty of good press. The goal was never to "solve feminism" with a popular actress.

Like one wise anon said, girl's been working since 9. She deserves to take time off to enjoy being young, hot, and rich.

Daily mail have some nonsense article up that she’s started a PHD, when she’s not done her masters. I think they are just very confused as they say she started it in September.when we know that her masters is two years part time.
Also they say she seems to have a modest terrace in Oxford that students are surprised about. They seem to forget it could be someone else’s like Kieran who they mention, but they still talk about Gail’s so the source clearly knows nothing…

I think it's mostly because she was at that NBA celebrity game on Valentine's Day and had allegedly been in LA for a while before that.

Because anytime she isn’t seen with somebody that she’s dating or rumored to be dating people assume they broke up or moved on. This happens every time she’s not seen in more than 2 months. And most of the time she’s still with the guy.Which is funny to me because always says she hates that people think she’s dating everybody she’s seen with. But when she’s actually in a relationship everybody assumes they must have broken up or she’s moved on as she’s not spotted going everywhere with the guy. You guys do know that they don’t have to be attached at the hip all the time… right?

Wasn’t Emma just the ambassador for Prada Paradox… who knows they might make more with her original voice work for as long as her contract with them is. But fashion companies having more than one ambassador for something isn’t new, it’s always been like this. My only thing is, I thought Anne Hathaway was an ambassador for Valentino…
